I take pride in being transparent, in all that I do. My current clients can attest to this, as I share my personal life experiences with them in our sessions. Why you ask? Well, because I found that most people assume that because I am a coach, I have it all figured out... and while, I do have a wealth of life coaching knowledge from my training and certifications, I find that the personal examples that I share with my clients seem to have the biggest impact. After all, I am human, just like all of you. With that said, here is a personal story that I hope resonates with you.
For the first several years after I got paralyzed in 2002, I felt as if I had no control over my life. I could no longer walk. I lost friends. I lost my job. I lost life as I had always known it. I was just wandering and trying to find a new normal after this life-altering transition.
The ONE thing that I COULD control was the way that I felt. The way that I could choose to embrace each day.
I could choose to make the best out of each day and find the good.
OR
I could choose to concentrate on the bad.
My life isn't AMAZING and BAD ASS because I'm lucky or because I was given an easy way out..it is AWESOME because I CHOOSE to make it that way.
Find one positive thing in your life to be thankful for EVERY DAY Trust me. You will thank me later!
