Empathetic Listening
A Trauma-Informed Approach to Supporting Others
Helping people feel heard starts long before we speak.
Empathetic listening isn't about having the perfect response or knowing exactly what to say. It's about creating a space where another person feels safe enough to be honest.
In this course, you'll learn practical, trauma-informed listening skills that help you become more present, more compassionate, and more intentional in your conversations. Whether you're serving as a Hope Dealer, supporting a friend, leading a team, or simply trying to become a better listener, these lessons will give you tools you can begin using immediately.
This course is designed to be practical, reflective, and easy to apply in everyday life.

Before You Begin
You don't need to be perfect.
You don't need professional counseling experience.
You simply need a willingness to slow down, become curious, and practice being fully present with another human being.
Progress—not perfection—is the goal.
Community Discussion
Learning doesn't end when the video does.
After each lesson, you'll be invited to continue the conversation inside Hope Dealer Connect, where you'll reflect on what you've learned, share your experiences, and learn alongside other Hope Dealers.
